Bimmerprofs provides the following warranty for NOXEM:
- one-year (from sales date) limited warranty for sensors head;
- lifetime limited warranty for electronic of NOXEM.
The warranty can be refused if:
- the sensor is mechanically damaged;
- the sensor is mechanically contaminated with oil or petrol products, water, or other types of dirt;
- if the vehicle experienced serious problems with the performance of the engine (misfires, problems with injectors, activated EML indicator) for a long while, and they were not repaired [1];
- if any type of fuel additive is used (to prolong the lifetime of the engine, clean injectors, etc.);
- the software of DME is modified (all kinds of ”chip tuning”);
- injectors installed are not OEM of actual release; are older than 3 years;
- the origin of the NOXEM is not clear (the warranty is inquired about by a third person, not the buyer of NOXEM).
Warranty of NOXEM electronic can be refused:
- NOXEM is mechanically damaged;
- The origin of the NOXEM is not clear (the warranty is inquired with a third person, not the buyer of NOXEM).
If your NOXEM sensor (head) is experiencing problems after the end of warranty time or in the situation, when the warranty conditions are not met – please, get in touch with Bimmerprofs. We will offer you favorable conditions for the repair or replacement of the sensor.
In NOXEM, only genuine Bosch sensors supplied by Bosch dealers are installed. There is no doubt regarding the high quality and durability of Bosch sensors – they are used by all leading car manufacturers. But even the most durable sensors can be damaged. To prolong the lifetime of the sensor, remember:
- take care that the oil consumption of your car’s engine is as low as possible. Oil, which gets in the exhaust, damages the sensor;
- if you detect problems in the performance of the engine – shivering, misfires, EML symbol lights up, etc. – consult a specialist immediately. Incorrect fuel mixture (getting in the sensor or burning in the exhaust) damages the sensor;
- condensation (air humidity), which collects in the exhaust, damages the sensor. Drive for a longer distance regularly – during longer drives, the excess air moisture will evaporate from the exhaust;
- don’t use any fuel additives, which promise to prolong the lifetime of the engine or clean the fuel system. Such additives can damage the sensor.
[1] To make sure, that the damage of the NOXEM probe is not caused by the problem of leaking injector, the customer should submit the information, required by Bimmerprofs to perform the diagnostics.
The warranty is refused in the following cases:
- DME History memory list is empty (cleared) – it is reasonable to believe that the user hides the true condition of the vehicle;
- DME error message lists contain the following error messages, E series:
- 2FCA; 2FDA; 29F1 (HPFP has problems reaching Rail pressure due to problems of fuel leakage);
- 29CC..29D2; 29D9 (misfires);
- 3104 (uneven run, Stratified charge);
- 29E0; 29E1; 2A2B; 2A2C (problems with fuel mixture);
- 2C24..2CAB (problems with Lambda probes);
- 2E18..2E1D (ignition problems);
- 3070..3081 (injectors problems);
- diagnostics data indicate E series:
- incorrect mechanical efficiency of some cylinders (typical for leaking injector; reaches over +/-0.500 for N53 series and +/-0.020 for N43series engines); ..F5/F7;
- data of injector of some cylinder in idle confirm the leaking of this injector (correction below -0.50mg/stk); ../F5/Shift+F6/F5;
- fuel LTFT Offset type corrections are -1.0/-1.5mg/stk (N43/N53 series engines); ..F5/F6;
- flowrate data of some injectors are very incorrect (out of +/-10%); ../F5/Shift+F6/F3 and ../F5/Shift+F6/F5;
- DME error message lists contain the following error messages, F series:
- 11A401; 11AC02 (HPFP has problems to reach Rail pressure due to problems of fuel leakage);
- 140001..142002; 150102..150602; 156101..156601 (misfires);
- 118002; 118008; 118102; 118108 (problems with fuel mixture);
- 118601..118902; 128101..12BF08 (problems with Lambda probes);
- 110101..112608 (ignition problems);
- 10F101..10F602; 114101..114602; 118C02; 118D02 (injectors problems);
- diagnostics data indicate F series:
- incorrect mechanical efficiency of some cylinders (typical for leaking injector; reaches over +/-0.500); ..F5/F7;
- data of injector of some cylinder in idle confirm the leaking of this injector (correction outside 0..100), idle; ../F5/F9;
- fuel LTFT Offset type corrections are -1.5mg/stk; ..F5/F6;
- flowrate data of some injectors are very incorrect (out of +/-50), partial load; ../F5/F9;
- the user does not submit the diagnostics information required by Bimmerprofs.
If the warranty of the NOXEM probe is refused, Bimmerprofs can replace the probe, if the repair costs are completely covered by the user. To renew the warranty, the user has to:
- submit all diagnostics information required by Bimmerprofs;
- perform all necessary repair works indicated by Bimmerprofs;
- repetitively submit all diagnostic information required by Bimmerprofs to make sure that all problems are solved.
