One of the BMW users sent photos of the injector, “refurbished” by Vitesco. These photos differ from those seen before, so it is worth checking them closer.

Vitesco “specialists” left the release number for this injector uncovered. Obviously, this indicates that it’s the injector of the last release. True, though, as we see from the previous entry, they don’t have basic knowledge, and they are ready to “refurbish” fakes in a black body (which has never been done for the last releases of *048 injectors). Accordingly – under this label, it actually can be until 10 years old *048 injector, or even 10+ years old *079 or *261 injector in the black body. Yes, and a counterfeit, too.
Another interesting nuance – the number of this injector is 000041. We can guess that Vitesco has refurbished a whole “lot” of 40 units before this exclusive piece! Sounds like a respectable experience! Sorry for my sarcasm.
Finally – two, in my opinion, significant nuances:
a. the encoding data haven’t changed, despite the “refurbishing”. How is that possible? Only in case the injector actually is not refurbished, or – the “refurbished” does not have the equipment with which to measure the injector parameters. If they don’t have such equipment, how is it even possible to “refurbish” these injectors? I don’t have the answer to this question;
b. such a large, reputable company (Vitesco has parted from Continental, and they have more than 35’000 employees – at least there are such claims) hasn’t purchased the equipment to print the inscriptions on the injectors! There are even several (four!) labels – inappropriate, obviously labeled manually.
I still don’t understand what is going on in this “company”!
