One of the readers of my blog sent me a message, that there is a hidden “feature” – MSD80 turns off the Stratified charge if the oil level is lower than one half of max level.
I do not know if this urban legend is common in any internet forums, but I can only deny it – no, the Stratified charge is not turned off, if the oil level is lower than a half of max level. I haven’t noticed such a coincidence in any DME software release of N43/N53 series engines.

As you see, the engine uses Stratified charge even with a low oil level (lower than one half of max level).
